I am Gary Walz, the founder and owner who started Vermont Wood'n Pen over 12 years ago now.  An engineer, manufacturing expert, and lifelong woodworker , pen making represented a challenge where I could apply all three areas.  As soon as I turned my first pen, I was hooked!

I had no idea how diverse and challenging the art of pen making could be.  From wood, I branched out into turning other materials, particularly acrylics and antler.  Soon, I discovered the art of resin casting, and began casting objects, both natural and man-made, into clear acrylic and turning these.

I consider myself a true multi-media artist.  I hope you will enjoy browsing the pages of some of the pens I've made, as well as my product page of currently available pens.
