This truly stunning pen is the signature design of our company.  The wood is a combination of exotic purple heart and Vermont maple with a walnut accent.  All of the wood in any of our segmented (i.e., more than one wood) has been dried and stabilized in a vacuum chamber with a specialty penetrating resin to minimize "movement" of the wood over time.
 
The pen mechanism is an "Aero" design.  The top finial turns to extend and retract the refill.  This pen uses a Parker (TM) style refill to provide a smooth, long-lasting writing experience and is easily replaceable.
